Updating a candidate's status in the recruitment cycle

Permission level required: ✅ System Administrators, Entity Managers, or users with the Interviewer Restricted access level and above.

Users with the required permission level can update a candidate's pipeline status as they progress through the recruitment cycle. By default, all candidates are placed in the New pipeline upon application. Follow the steps below to update a candidate's pipeline status.

  • Navigate to the candidate's View tab > click the candidate's name > Actions > Change Pipeline.

  • Select the appropriate pipeline status.

  • To notify all hiring team members of the candidate's pipeline movement, select the Notify Hiring Team Members checkbox before applying the changes.

  • Users may choose one of the following actions:

    • Click Apply & Send Email to update the candidate's pipeline status and send an email notification to the candidate.

    • Click Apply to update the candidate's pipeline status without sending an email.
